Lens flare issues… no problem, use them and play with them, hate them, love them but that happen when you use old lenses without any filter. This one was made with the Carl Zeiss Jena Sonnar 180mm F/2.8. Since my Pentacon TTL retired from active duty due to age I always intended to buy me another one but well time has passed and now I tried it on my old reliable 5D with an adapter. Since its a lens for medium format you lose a lot of cuality it means even when you shot with a f/2.8 the depth of field resulted in a 35mm format will be like a f/5.6 shot… the 180mm f/2.8 Sonnar is one of the best and most iconic Pentacon mount lenses but it has to be said that even the multi coated (MC) versions are more prone to flare… as you see. I rarely use it, because it is so much bigger and heavier and I would never recommend it even if the camera mount on the 5D seemed strong enough for me to risk mounting the lens its quiet dangerous you need to support it with a tripod in order to not risk and break the lens mount.
