Yep another test page not the final version but close… ah yes inspiration Schicksalslied (Song of Destiny) #poem, #Friedrich Hölderlin, #choral works, #Johannes Brahms, #18 October 1871 in Karlsruhe or 49° 0′ 34″ N, 8° 24′ 15″ O… and of course the Schicksalstag (Fateful day) 9 November. Ok a simplistic view but I like simple thinks…


woodcut is a way of printing. An image is cut into a block of wood. The printing part remains level with the surface. The non-printing parts are removed, often with a tool called a gouge. The areas that are ‘white’ are cut away with a knife or chisel. Therefore the wood still at the original surface level are black in the final print.
